Inositol, Chinese alias: inositol; Cyclohexanol; Fibrol (muscle sugar). Inositol obtained above 80℃ from water or acetic acid is white crystal, melting point 253℃, density 1.752 g/cm 3(15℃), sweet, soluble in water and acetic acid, no optical activity. It can be extracted from corn soaking solution. Mainly used for the treatment of cirrhosis, hepatitis, fatty liver, blood cholesterol is too high disease.
